In Honor of Clare Brett Smith

Clare Brett Smith, President of Aid to Artisans, was an unrelenting advocate for artisans, folk artists and entrepreneurs worldwide.  Under Clare’s leadership Aid to Artisans and its partners provided critical business development, training and marketing services to 65,000 artisans in 41 countries all over the world. Over 60,000 artisans received ATA small grants during Clare’s tenure with the non-profit organization.

The R.I.S.E. Artisan Fund Market Development Grant program is proud to continue Clare’s mission in supporting the business development and growth of artisan enterprises in emerging markets around the world.
